The Textile Studies and Apparel Design (TSAD) program of BMN College empowers students with deep knowledge of India’s diverse textile heritage. Students gain hands-on experience through fieldwork, textile identification, sustainable fashion design, and documentation of indigenous crafts.

About Us
The Department of Textile Science and Apparel Design, established in 1991, is a center of excellence dedicated to shaping skilled professionals and creative innovators in the field of textiles and fashion. Our comprehensive program blends technical expertise, creative exploration, and industry-oriented training, preparing students for dynamic careers in textile manufacturing, fashion design, apparel production, retail management, and entrepreneurship.
Students Develop Proficiency in
- Textile Science & Technology – Fiber identification, fabric construction, chemical processing, dyeing, and finishing techniques.
- Fashion Design & Illustration – Sketching, digital fashion illustration, trend forecasting, and creative concept development.
- Apparel Production & Merchandising – Pattern making, draping, garment construction, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and industrial production processes.
- Surface Ornamentation – Indian embroideries, handloom weaving, block printing, tie-dye, batik, and embellishment techniques.
- Quality Control & Sustainability – Textile testing, eco-friendly materials, sustainable fashion practices, and ethical sourcing.
